Today's Beard of the Day belongs to Raymond Raposa, also known as the psychedelic folk act Castanets. I was running errands with a friend this afternoon and after Castanets came up on his Ipod; he talked about his beard for nearly 20 minutes. After consulting Google, I was clearly not disappointed. Also seen here and here and here.

Tim Ruiter's father
Tonight I was watching the National Spelling Bee and after each word, they would show the child's family that was in the audience. One of the contestant's (Tim Ruiter) father had an awesome beard that I would like to dedicate today's post to. He looked like he had just came back from spending a month in the mountains. Unfortunately, I can't find any photos of him, but if you watched it, then you know what I'm talking about.

Russell Brand
Russell Brand. Some might call him a "comedian" but I really don't find him too funny. However he has a nice beard which would look even better if he tried showering at least once a week.

Phil Harris
Anyone a Deadliest Catch fan? If not, you should be. There are fantastic beards on the show, but Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie is my favorite, so he is today's spotlight. Another awesome part of today's post? New tag, Alaskan Fisherman Beard. Get excited.

Bearded Baby
[via: Islamization Watch]
Do you remember the show Ripley's Believe it Or Not? I saw this photo on an episode once and even though it is so obviously photoshopped and fake(like most of the things on that show) I still think it is absolutely adorable. Maybe if a bearded lady had a child with a bearded man then it actually could happen...or not.

Ugly Bat Boy
[via: Quedat]
I discovered this mysterious creature while wasting time on StumbleUpon. Although it's not a real beard, the fur in the front kind of makes it look like this cat has a giant beard. His name is Ugly Bat Boy (Uggs for short) looks this way due to a genetic mutation which unfortunately took the life of his sister. Luckily he has a wonderful home with a veterinarian in New Hampshire who loves him, even though he's been considered the world's ugliest cat. I think he's kind of cute though....right?

Kevin Smith
Silent Bob: "You know, there's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you. "
Man, I love Kevin Smith. Not just because of his awesome brawny-man-beard, but because he always gives off such a regular joe vibe. I would totally grab a beer with him, we could discuss beards.

Bill: Hey if I ever start to turn, could you shoot me?
Francis: What if your beard turns? can i shoot that?
Francis: What if your beard turns? can i shoot that?
I was playing Left 4 Dead last night, and the characters said that. I thought it was definitely blog-worthy!
Sorry for not blogging in AGES! I am now done with school until next fall, so I should be able to blog more frequently.
